Wood Finish That Does Not Peel And Lasts For Years
You might be surprised to hear that there is a simple, yet long lasting way to spruce up your garden fence, wooden shed, gazebo, deck spindles etc. The system incorporates any colour, exterior quality masonry paint - yes, masonry paint!! and that is used in conjunction with a powerful, stir in, primer called EB which ensures that the paint stays where you apply it - on the wood.
Here’s all you need to do.
Mix 1 litre of E-B (an Owatrol Product) to 2 litres of any exterior masonry paint, any colour and apply that as the first coat only.
In many cases that one coat will suffice, but if you want additional coverage, add a second coat of the same paint but this time apply the paint WITHOUT the E-B.
If you don't mind spending a little extra, you could make a stronger (EB/Paint) mix for the first coat, i.e. 1 part E-B to 1 part paint if you want a seriously strong mix / grip.
You may have a wooden fencing, shed etc and you are sick and tired of the annual drudgery of recoating them with short lived, basic colour finishes?
You can choose from thousands of colours and you can expect that finish that will outlast anything else on the market by a long shot.
Tip for Cladding: If you have very dirty wooden cladding and you don’t want the hassle & expense of cleaning & oiling it back to the original look, use the above method for a long lasting low maintenance job.
