Insulating Paint Additive,Cuts Heat Loss, Stops Mould

Thermilate Insulating Paint Additive Reduces Heat Loss in Your Home or Property through INTERNAL, EXTERNAL WALLS  CEILINGS

Having been featured on several TV programmes such as BBC'S TOMORROW'S WORLD, Changing Room, THERMILATE, the revolutionary, durable paint additive that makes paint insulate is now available to home owners, maintenance  painting contractors.

This very practical product can be added to virtually any kind of paint… from interior emulsion, exterior masonry paint, gloss paint on steel, you name it. In all cases, it will reduce heat loss out through the substrate.

AND… it also works the other way around, if you wanted to keep heat inside pipes, hot water tank etc, the Thermilate additive reduces heat loss when 2 or 3 coats of treated paint are applied to the pipe etc.The two images on the right aboveshows Thermilate used in oil based paint on inside of a steel barge to stop / reduce condensation on the steel walls.

    Steel Roof Condensation

Another handy application we have been told about which gets excellent results was where condensation occurs on underside of a steel roof, also known as steel roof condensation such as commonly found on corrugated steel, sheds / workshops, steel containers  so on. In this scenario, the handiest option is add the Thermilate to any appropriate paint and apply a coat or better still two coats.

Idea is to apply 2 or 3 coats of any oil based paint with one bottle of Thermilate per 5 Litres of paint.

    MAIN BENEFITS

Saves on heating bills because less heat / energy will be required for the same results.

Reduces or eliminates mould on 'cold walls' etc

Helps reduce condensation / damp wall problems

    Testimonials

I used the product internally but only on outside walls of a house where it would have been expensive and difficult to do any other insulation. I used the powder in a tempera (velvet finish) paint which covers imperfections very well. The colours were strong colours. The powder was very easy to mix into the paint.
The powder didn't noticeably change the colour or the finish of the paint when dry. There is a noticable difference to the touch of the temperature of the wall and on one particularly cold wall it stopped a draft coming down the wall. Having said this it is hard to put any numbers to the temperature of the rooms where it has been applied or to any saving in money but I would say that the rooms are more comfortable and I have been showing the product off to friends. "This is now the 2nd winter my 'Thermilated'  bathroom walls and ceiling are experiencing and I have waited until now to obtain an overall better idea of precisely whether the product worked for my circumstances or not. The bathroom has quite exposed outer walls and is north facing and this, together with the fact the radiator is neither use nor ornament ensures one does not linger - it is extremely cold. Black mould caused through the condensation has been the bane of my life for many years - until now that is.  The room is still bitterly cold and the walls constantly run with condensation but there has been virtually no mould forms. What little has started to form has been pale grey, which I have immediately wiped away with a cloth - and it is gone! So far, I have only had to wipe it twice in 2 years. I can only hope it now continues with the good work.
I am really more than pleased that I purchased the product. Many thanks for a truly valuable product."

"My lounge always had this uncomfortable chill, and a large amount of heating was required in order to keep the room warm. I painted 2 coats in the lounge, many months ago with the hope it would help with the heating costs. To our excitement, the temperature in the room is now 4 degrees higher, which means I don't need to use as much heating as before. A saving of 4 degrees is really much more than I expected, and it actually made the paint go further.........Thermilate has certainly exceeded my expectations......."

I purchased the Thermilate granules to use in my parents Holiday Chalet.  This is a cold enviroment in general. However, the walls no longer have the usual cold/damp feel to them they had before using the paint additive.  We found it very easy to use and it left a very nice finish to the walls & ceilings.  When the heating is turned on, the Chalet does warm up a lot faster.   We are going to use it on the exterior next year to increase the benefits. Kind regards

"I used Thermilate in my living room, and was astonished to find the wall was actually warmer to the touch, just a day after the paint was applied. The room is now warmer. I will be buying it again, to use in my front room too."

" I used Thermilate in 2 bedrooms, where I always had a condensation problem. We’d tried cleaning it off on a number of occasions, and tried lots of other things to get rid of it. But it would always come back.  We applied Thermilate in both rooms. We really cannot believe Thermilate has completely eliminated the condensation. It also came with an added benefit, the room is now a lot warmer. I have a similar problem in my lounge, which is quite large, and we will be buying some more to use there too. I really would recommend Thermilate to anyone."

"I have a large bedroom above my garage which is always quite cold. As soon as I used Thermilate, and the paint dried, I put my hand on the wall and I was astounded to find the wall was actually warmer to the touch. Thermilate was very easy to use. I will be using Thermilate in other rooms in the house, and I will definitely be buying it again."

Yes I bought the powder additive which I mixed with either dulux paint or crown pain which was to make the bedroom warmer and also to help us with cols pots in corners of the walls which was getting mould which have helped 80%, Its been used to paint our daughters bedroom as in her room it has thin wallpaper so we added this to it to bring the room up to temperature which worked fine. Regards

I used the product in my paint when redecorating my bedroom which had quite a bit of mould growth which was causing health issues. After treating the areas with a liquid mould killer, mould resistant primer and adding mould inhibitor to the paint, I also added the thermalite. The process was easy and the finish although slightly fibrous in appearance was fine, I have not had any mould growth since and the walls do appear to be staying a bit warmer.
I only have to replace the radiator as this was only aboutr a third of the recommended power and the room will to all intents and purposes be fine. Whne redecoratin g the rest of the flat I will probably use thrmealite in the paint to try and save monet with the insylating properties. The wall I treated were exterior NW facing walls which always seemed cold before. The room does seem more tolerable and also not as hot in the summer.
Would I recommend the product thermalite? Yes I would and actually have to friends and family. Thanks for what seems like a winner product. Kind regards

Like most insulating type products, better in some areas than others. I mixed it with masonry paint and painted a section of the outside of my house and it appears to be quite effective. Because of the granular nature of thermalite you have to be careful if you want a paint finish wall, for which I would recommend further coats of un-thermalite paint on top. A recommended use would be under lining paper before wallpapering externals walls; this appears to be very effective measure against cold walls, especially older solid type walls. Hope that helpful as feedback Best Regards
