Insulating Additive for All Paints

I received the package of Thermilate, which was used on my kitchen ceiling. The kitchen is 15ft x12ft x 9 ft high and previously had polystyrene tiles. Your product seems to do what it says, by reflecting the heat back into the kitchen. I have been monitoring the temperature and I would say that Thermilate has been a good solution to the removal of the polystyrene tiles. Thank you once more

"I foster 6 children together with my mum. We've always had a problem with damp caused by condensation, in the hallway...... I'd tried allsorts of products to prevent the condensation coming back. I'd used a paint designed specially for preventing condensation, tried tinfoil before wallpapering, and all sorts of other products. It was important for me to get rid of the condensation because of the children. I then used Thermilate. I used 2 coats in the hallway, nearly a year ago and the condensation has not come back. I then used it in my kitchen where I had a similar problem, I used 2 coats, again it has not come back. I can't believe it, fantastic product, fantastic idea. "Over the last three years we have been renovating an old house in Mid-West France. Our intention initially, was to use Thermilate in two of the old bedrooms as they felt "cold". Well we are now totally "hooked" and intend to use it in all of the rooms in the house. I was a little concerned about the texture of the product when it was first applied but the top coat of emulsion soon smoothes it out. I had the mis-fortune of having to put the top coat of emulsion over the Thermilate in a small walk-in wardrobe whilst my husband was painting the main room. The heat reflecting properties soon made me think I was in a sauna! The more rooms we use Thermilate in, the warmer our house becomes, and it is good value when you consider the cost of heating. Just a note to say thank you for a great product! We used Thermilate on the interior walls and ceilings of our new home. I have steel framed home and wanted to make sure there was no hosting on the walls from hear/cold transfer and that there was minimal loss of heat.

When we got our first gas bill for winter weather I was surprised. It was twice what my neighbours were. I knew my heat wasn't coming on very much and I shouldn't use that much gas. I called the heating contractor immediately. They didn't think that my bill was excessive for the size house I have. (It is 3, 850 Sq. Ft. in size) but with all I had done to be energy efficient 1 felt that my gas

bill was very high!. I also called the insulation people to see if we needed more insulation in the attic. The insulation contractor had me do a few tests, while we were waiting on the Heating and Air-conditioning contractor, to see if we had a lot of heat loss through the ceiling. We had 9" of snow the day before and it was 26 degrees outside so it was a good time to do this type of testing! I had a temperature difference of 8 degrees from the top of the insulation and the attic air temperature, which means I had very little heat loss through the ceiling. Next I checked the temperature difference inside the house between the sitting area and the ceiling. The average was 2 degrees. With ten-foot high ceilings there is usually a 10 deg. temperature difference between the floor and ceiling! . The Insulation contractor was stunned! I then proceeded to tell him about Thermilate and gave him your web address so that he could get more information! The Heating and Air conditioning people finally found the trouble with the heater, it was a bad computer board that was turning on the gas without the thermostat calling for heat so it was burning gas but the dampers didn't open for the heat to go into the house. When it was fixed my gas usage dropped to less than a third of what it was before!

The outside temperature was in the seventies yesterday and the house was 72 degrees inside when we went to bed. When we got up in the morning it was 44 degrees outside and when I checked the gas meter no gas had been used by the heater all night and the inside temperature was still 70 degrees. (Only a 2-degree overnight interior temperature drop!)

I strongly recommend the use of Thermilate for anyone who wants to maintain a comfortable home and who desires to reduce their energy expenses!

I used it on an old building with single skin stone walls which have always felt cold. I was pleased with the slightly textured finish I achieved on smooth walls. When I get round to decorating the other rooms I will be using Thermilate. I'm not sure whether it makes the room warmer. I also have a 1930s built house I am renovating  where I will use Thermilate. So far I have used the powder which I found easy to mix. I will be comparing your 'readymixed' paint on the bathroom with mixing the powder with a kitchen paint. Regads,

" I used Thermilate in 2 bedrooms, where I always had a condensation problem. We’d tried cleaning it off on a number of occasions, and tried lots of other things to get rid of it. But it would always come back.  We applied Thermilate in both rooms. We really cannot believe Thermilate has completely eliminated the condensation. It also came with an added benefit, the room is now a lot warmer. I have a similar problem in my lounge, which is quite large, and we will be buying some more to use there too. I really would recommend Thermilate to anyone."

We used the paint in the back bedroom and also installed a ventilaion system in the attic and together they seem to have stopped the problem with black around the window and wall.

I used the product in my paint when redecorating my bedroom which had quite a bit of mould growth which was causing health issues. After treating the areas with a liquid mould killer, mould resistant primer and adding mould inhibitor to the paint, I also added the thermalite. The process was easy and the finish although slightly fibrous in appearance was fine, I have not had any mould growth since and the walls do appear to be staying a bit warmer.
I only have to replace the radiator as this was only aboutr a third of the recommended power and the room will to all intents and purposes be fine. Whne redecoratin g the rest of the flat I will probably use thrmealite in the paint to try and save monet with the insylating properties. The wall I treated were exterior NW facing walls which always seemed cold before. The room does seem more tolerable and also not as hot in the summer.
Would I recommend the product thermalite? Yes I would and actually have to friends and family. Thanks for what seems like a winner product. Kind regards

"I first purchased Thermilate for my son’s house. He lives in Deeside Aboyne a very cold part of the country, his heating costs were very high, and his house was always cold. We applied 2 coats on the inside of the house, to all his external walls. His house is now unbelievably so much warmer, superbly more comfortable, Thermilate has helped with energy saving, and of course cost saving. "I would just like to leave my comments about an amazing product that does exactly what it says it says on the packet...INSULATES! The paint additive, Thermalite, really does work. I live in an old stone cottage on top of a hill (very, very windy and stormy). Over the years my husband and I have dry-lined our cottage but there was a north facing wall in the kitchen which we never got round to doing so we decided to try Thermalite instead. The difference in the heat that is retained in my kitchen now is very noticeable. Even on a mild day the kitchen used to feel quite cool. Not any more. It just feels so cosy.
