Insulating Paint Additive,Cuts Heat Loss, Stops Mould

Thermilate Insulating Paint Additive Reduces Heat Loss in Your Home or Property through INTERNAL, EXTERNAL WALLS  CEILINGS

Having been featured on several TV programmes such as BBC'S TOMORROW'S WORLD, Changing Room, THERMILATE, the revolutionary, durable paint additive that makes paint insulate is now available to home owners, maintenance  painting contractors.

This very practical product can be added to virtually any kind of paint… from interior emulsion, exterior masonry paint, gloss paint on steel, you name it. In all cases, it will reduce heat loss out through the substrate.

AND… it also works the other way around, if you wanted to keep heat inside pipes, hot water tank etc, the Thermilate additive reduces heat loss when 2 or 3 coats of treated paint are applied to the pipe etc.The two images on the right aboveshows Thermilate used in oil based paint on inside of a steel barge to stop / reduce condensation on the steel walls.

    Steel Roof Condensation

Another handy application we have been told about which gets excellent results was where condensation occurs on underside of a steel roof, also known as steel roof condensation such as commonly found on corrugated steel, sheds / workshops, steel containers  so on. In this scenario, the handiest option is add the Thermilate to any appropriate paint and apply a coat or better still two coats.

Idea is to apply 2 or 3 coats of any oil based paint with one bottle of Thermilate per 5 Litres of paint.

    MAIN BENEFITS

Saves on heating bills because less heat / energy will be required for the same results.

Reduces or eliminates mould on 'cold walls' etc

Helps reduce condensation / damp wall problems

    Testimonials

Like most insulating type products, better in some areas than others. I mixed it with masonry paint and painted a section of the outside of my house and it appears to be quite effective. Because of the granular nature of thermalite you have to be careful if you want a paint finish wall, for which I would recommend further coats of un-thermalite paint on top. A recommended use would be under lining paper before wallpapering externals walls; this appears to be very effective measure against cold walls, especially older solid type walls. Hope that helpful as feedback Best Regards

"I would just like to leave my comments about an amazing product that does exactly what it says it says on the packet...INSULATES! The paint additive, Thermalite, really does work. I live in an old stone cottage on top of a hill (very, very windy and stormy). Over the years my husband and I have dry-lined our cottage but there was a north facing wall in the kitchen which we never got round to doing so we decided to try Thermalite instead. The difference in the heat that is retained in my kitchen now is very noticeable. Even on a mild day the kitchen used to feel quite cool. Not any more. It just feels so cosy. We are so impressed by this product that we are ordering more! I can't recommend it enough and it certainly deserves a 5 star rating."

E-mail testimonial from a customer Message: I love your product! I am so glad I found that I could purchase just this product rather than a premixed product. I had been doing that in the past and I prefer to mix it in my own paint.

“I used the Thermilate powder in 2 locations but one was my rented-out house so cannot give feedback on thermal results. The second location was a very damp bathroom with a north facing wall. I spoke to the manager of Brewers in Tunbridge Wells where I have an account. We decided I should mix the powder with a water-based eggshell so that the surface could not absorb any moisture to grow mould in (a very mouldy bathroom,by the way). The ceiling had 2 coats and was 100% successful. The walls only got one coat and after about 1 year the mould is breaking through and I'm about to clean that off and put the second coat on. I am talking about an extreme environment here! Colour: Whilst the powder looks like it will affect the paint shade, it does not. If it does, it's by an infinitely small amount. Mixing: It mixed with the two types of paint I used very well and stays bound in the paint whilst you are using it. Application: The second coat is a bit hard going, feeling like a cross between painting and plastering but for most fit decorators, I doubt they would notice that much. The benefits far outweigh this though. I would use it in problem areas again but in future will be working on buildings where I can control the vapour permeabilty of the walls and so would be keen to hear from you if any work has been done on whether this type of paint/powder is vapour permeable or not.” Best wishes

"I have a large bedroom above my garage which is always quite cold. As soon as I used Thermilate, and the paint dried, I put my hand on the wall and I was astounded to find the wall was actually warmer to the touch. Thermilate was very easy to use. I will be using Thermilate in other rooms in the house, and I will definitely be buying it again."

I purchased the Thermilate granules to use in my parents Holiday Chalet.  This is a cold enviroment in general. However, the walls no longer have the usual cold/damp feel to them they had before using the paint additive.  We found it very easy to use and it left a very nice finish to the walls & ceilings.  When the heating is turned on, the Chalet does warm up a lot faster.   We are going to use it on the exterior next year to increase the benefits. Kind regards

Thermilate was extremely easy to use, the instructions were very clear, I simply poured it into the paint and stirred. It seemed to have cured the problem, and it actually had a fantastic added benefit for me. I decided to measure the temperature difference in the room, and to my amazement, I found that previously the average temperature in the room was 15c and now it is actually 18c, this was throughout the winter season.
At the moment I'm just finding time to redecorate, so I can use it in the other rooms in the house too, and make the most of the heat savings. Thermilate helped save 3 degrees;  it truly is a fantastic product."

"I applied Thermilate in my bedroom. Previously the room always had a chill, but now that I have applied this revolutionary product, I'm stunned to find that it is now a lot warmer. I'm very pleased that it has done the job. I found the instructions and applying Thermilate very easy and I will be using Thermilate again."

"I used Thermilate in my living room, and was astonished to find the wall was actually warmer to the touch, just a day after the paint was applied. The room is now warmer. I will be buying it again, to use in my front room too."
